At 10.25 IST, the BSE Sensex was trading down by 97.82 points or by (0.51%) at 18,948.72. and the NSE Nifty was trading down by 21.80 points or by (0.38%) at 5,689.80.
The BSE Mid Cap was trading up by 35.76 points or by (0.50%) at 7,211.95 and the BSE Small Cap was trading up by 58.69 points or by (0.66%) to 8,963.87.
The stocks of SKS microfinance moved in positive direction on the NSE, as SKS Microfinance stock was trading at Rs. 724, up Rs. 54 or 8.1% over the previous close of Rs. 669.70.
Wipro lost 3.15% at Rs. 462.95 on BSE after net profit as per International Financial Reporting Standards rose 10% to Rs. 1319 crore on 12% increase in total revenue to Rs. 7829 crore in Q3 December 2010 over Q3 December 2009.
Loosers from the BSE Sensex pack are were Wipro down by (3.56%) at Rs 461.00, HDFC by (1.63%) at Rs. 651.95, followed by Sterlite Inds down by (1.52%) at Rs. 177.80, Bharti Airtel by (1.35%) at Rs. 335.70, and Jindal steel by (1.32%) at Rs. 697.00.

On the corporate news front, India''s third largest software exporter, Wipro announced its Q3 results. The comapany''s reported net profit rise of 3.4% at Rs 1319 crore against Rs 1276 crore in the previous quarter fiscal.
At 09:37 IST, the BSE Sensex was trading down by 28.05 points or (0.15%) at 19,018.49 and the NSE Nifty was trading lower by 7.30 points or (0.13%) at 5,704.
The BSE Mid Cap was trading up by 52.40 points or (0.73%) at 7,228.59 and the BSE Small Cap was also trading up by 80.67 points or (0.91%) at 8,985.85.
Gainers from the BSE Sensex pack were RIL up by (1.31%) at Rs. 982.50 followed by BHEL by (1.10%) at Rs. 2,203.40, Reliance Infra by (0.77%) at Rs. 722.50, Reliance Communication by (0.71%) at Rs. 134.20 and Mahindra & Mahindra by (0.68%) at Rs. 765.60.
Losers from the BSE Sensex pack were Wipro down by (4.04%) at Rs. 458.70 followed by Bharti Airtel by (1.73%) at Rs. 334.40, HDFC by (1.12%) at Rs. 655.35, Tata Motors by (0.89%) at Rs. 1,185 and Sterlite Industries by (0.75%) at Rs. 179.20.
The Overall market breadth was positive as 822 stock were advancing while 403 stocks declined and 46 remained unchanged on BSE.
In the Asian front, the major indices were trading on a mixed note. The Hang Seng and Taiwann Weighted index inclined by 0.12% and 0.49% respectively. While, Seoul Composite, Nikkei 225 and KLSE Composite trading down by (1.05%), (0.76%) and (0.93%) respectively.
